Supporting the Newtongrange Community

The Dean Tavern operates using the Gothenburg public house system, a means of management which was established in the 1860s.  

A team of appointed trustees are responsible for the financial governance of The Dean Tavern 2018:.

Investing in Our Village

 

The profits generated by The Dean Tavern are dispersed back into the immediate community.  

Across the years, the trust has played a pivotal role in developing the village of Newtongrange.  Erecting and establishing a range of public buildings for the village, we also support local community activities including the Newtongrange Silver Band, Newtongrange Star FC and the Newtongrange Children's Gala.

In 2022 The Dean Tavern helped to support a number of beneficiaries, these include:
